These are just some of the many awards recognizing the high standards and quality of MacFarlane Homes. Tom and Mike MacFarlane are especially proud of The New Homebuyers' Choice Awards because the winner is selected based on customer feedback. The Atlantic Home Warranty Program sends questionnaires to customers of each participating home builder. 2004 was the inaugural year for this award and out of a perfect score of 204, MacFarlane Homes received 200.48, a 98% approval rating. The average score of the competitors was 158.76. In 2006, MacFarlane Homes won the Homebuyer's Choice Award again, with a perfect score of 204. The MacFarlane's credit a lot of their success to the R-2000 program initiated by the federal government in 1981 to improve the energy efficiency of houses.
